it's the time to get a new foundation!

i have been looking for a new foundation for the past couple of weeks

when i was still in teenage years, i had an oily skin which tend to have breakouts.
yeah..maybe because of the glorious hormone secretion.
so, i did not use make-up at all.
all i did was the 3-step skincare.
cleanse, tone and moisturise.
and i kept on changing my skincare brand,
hunting for the best skincare availabe in the drugstore- watson and guardian.

until i reached my plateu level of women hormone where my skin more or less became a combination skin - normal/ combination

and at the moment i already tried to apply make-up on my face.
i mean, foundation and compact powder only.

i was doing my housemanship that time and the first brand i used was sendayu tinggi
it was awesome.
my skin remained matte all day

this set especially the foundation works wonder on oily to combination skin.

but i was still who i am.
difficult to compliant to one brand and keep on buying new thing that i think would suit me better..
i changed the brand again.

i bought revlon colorstay.
the coverage was much better in comparison to sendayu tinggi foundation.

i love the texture, the smell and the coverage. it does make your face flawless.
and for you who have an oily to combination skin, this would be the best and affordable foundation.
it is easily available at the drugstores i.e. watsons, pharmacies and guardian store.

my face remained matte all day. earlier when u applied u will feel like putting a mask on your face but after a while it does absorbed well and blended well with your skin tone.


i chose shades of early tan

it was one tone darker from my skin tone actually. i am comfortabe with one shade darker then my skin so any compact powder tone, be it my skin tone or lighter, it will just give a correct tone of my skin.

i have been using this foundation since 2009.

and i never think of changing to the a foundation until recently i changed job and worked in air-conditioned room and my skin became so dry.

my skin became cakey after 3-4 hours... arrghhhh...stresss!

so, i went to hunt for another foundation.

then i bought MAC matchmaster foundation

the sales assistant chose the shades for my skin.

this foundation as it name - matchmaster, did match with your skin tone easily.
initially it looked like u were wearing a wrong shades as it was 2 or 3 tone lighter.
then after few minutes, it did blend well and u would feel not wearing any foundation.
it looked so natural on your face.
but flawless. no blemishes were seen.

but....it did not last long.
after 3-4 hours, it became flaky.

i read few reviews and actualy this foundation suits oily skin well and not dry skin type like me.....arrgghhhh

haih..another waste.


and recently i bought another new foundation.

Doll skin foundation from sendayu tinggi

this foundation's texture was like naturactor. suitable for bridal make-up as well.
the coverage was superb.

i chose this shades - very cute. yes very cute is the name if the shades not that i say it was very cute

i used my finger to apply this foundation, it was very thick in consistency, and u only need one layer of it to give a full coverage.


initially it looked like u were putting tepung gomak on your face but then after u apply a thin layer of compact powder, it just gave u a natural and flawless look.

love this to bits!

it also long lasting. the first time i applied it, and i dozed off because off penat puasa kan, bangun-bangun je, still mekap in situ... suka! suka! suka!
